YouthChoice.org is a project of Rio Grande Prevention Partners (RGPP), a program of Rio Grande Public Health Department funded by Colorado Department of Human Service Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (CDHS/ADAD) , Colorado Prevention Partners and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Rio Grande Prevention Partners is an active, community-based organization whose goal is to reduce and prevent childhood and underage drinking, substance abuse, and related issues in our community. The coalition has expanded from the Persistent Drunk Driving Project Coalition which began in 2003.

Community leaders, organizations, and youth from Rio Grande and Mineral Counties are members of the coalition. We have developed a Strategic Prevention Plan to guide our actions.

Rio Grande Prevention Partners' mission is "to benefit the community by encouraging people to live drug-free, healthier lives by addressing public awareness and policy." RGPP's vision is "to prevent substance abuse through productive partnerships."
